Summer sunset at Baltray

The larger of the two stones at Baltray pictured in late May of 1999 with the sun setting in the background. Our observations revealed that this stone marks Summer Solstice sunset as well as the sunrise on Winter Solstice.

The large stone photographed on the evening of June 17th, 2000, just four days from the Summer Solstice. Observations made on this evening confirmed that the stone does mark Summer Solstice sunset, as well as Winter Solstice sunrise.
