Galaxy Photo Gallery: Carnbane East, Loughcrew, Winter Solstice Galaxy

On the Winter Solstice, 2003, a group of people took part in the annual "blitz" of ancient sites, organised by Michael "Munich" Reilly. For the first time, the blitz started at the standing stones in Baltray instead of Newgrange. The group spent some time on Carnbane East at Loughcrew on what was a frigidly cold and extremely blustery day. The bright conditions, however, made the trip worthwhile as the following photographs show.
