Five years of Live Irish Myths

Five years of Live Irish Myths

Five years ago today, on Thursday 12th March 2020, the very first episode of Live Irish Myths was broadcast on the Mythical Ireland Facebook page. It began just a couple of hours after the first lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic had been announced here in Ireland.

With the world entering a very uncertain phase, I continued to livestream EVERY DAY for months, on both Facebook and YouTube, and by August over 100 episodes of Live Irish Myths, along with some episodes of 'Book Talk', had been streamed.

Five years on and the Live Irish Myths series continues, every Monday at 8pm Irish time. Two days ago, episode #317 was broadcast.

If you enjoy Irish mythology and legend, history and prehistory, culture, archaeology, books, and learning about the fascinating past of this lovely island, why not join us on Live Irish Myths? Every viewer is made to feel welcome. There might even be the odd "rabbit hole" and cheesy dad joke.

If you haven't seen the series, pop over to the Mythical Ireland YouTube channel and select the "live" tab and you can scroll through over 300 episodes of the series and watch at your leisure.

I hope you enjoy them, as I have done.

Anthony
