This is a short extract of a speech I made at the launch of my book Newgrange: Monument to Immortality in Drogheda in October 2012. It serves to highlight some of the themes explored in the book, and to explain how the journey of exploration of Newgrange for me was as much a personal and spiritual journey as it was a journalistic one.
