Standing there, at the edge of a field at Brú na Bóinne, I watched in awe as the winter evening clouds were set aflame by the warm light of the setting sun. It truly was a sight to behold. I captured photographs, of course, but instinctually I just wanted to put the camera down and enjoy the spectacle without interruption. Red skies in Ireland tend to last only a few minutes, and when you see one like this, you know that you are witnessing something beautiful but shortlived. Like the lives of those who built the great monument, it is but a moment in the history of the world.
