As if to demonstrate just how difficult it is to get a photo of the full moon setting precisely into Newgrange (Síd in Broga), I went out early this morning (6th January 2023) to try to recapture that magical shot that I got last November.
However, this time the moon was further to the right, and despite moving west along the south of the Boyne riverbank, I could not get a clear shot because trees and bushes blocked the view. This was the best I could do.
On top of all that, by the time the moon was setting, it had become completely covered by cloud! No wonder the photo I took last November took me 20 winter to achieve!
